Students new to the program OR students who did not take classes the previous semester must fill out the following forms: Dual Credit Admission Application (1), NMSU-A Dual Credit Agreement of Understanding (2), and the Dual Credit Request Form (3), Social Security Number Policy (4)

REQUEST FORMS FORMS FROM COUNSELOR, FILL IT OUT, HAND IT TO YOUR GRADE COUNSELOR FOR SIGNATURE AND TAKE TO THE COLLEGE.

Continuing Dual Credit Student

Registration

Students who have taken an NMSU-A class the previous semester must fill out the following forms: NMSU-A Dual Credit Agreement of Understanding (2), and the Dual Credit Request Form (3), Social Security Number Policy (4)

REQUEST FORMS FORMS FROM COUNSELOR, FILL IT OUT, HAND IT TO YOUR GRADE COUNSELOR FOR SIGNATURE AND TAKE TO THE COLLEGE. 

Students need to hand carry the completed NMSU-A Dual Credit Agreement of Understanding, the NMPED Dual Credit Request Form, AND the Social Security Policy Form.
**Incomplete forms will not be processed**

These forms along with your current transcript are required when signing up for dual credit courses. 
IMPORTANT NOTE: If you drop or fail a Dual Credit course(s) it may affect your eligibility to receive future financial aid including the Bridge and/or Lottery scholarships.

Do you qualify to take dual credit courses?

Grade Point Average (GPA) 

  • Seniors 3.0 (or better) 
  • Juniors 3.0 (or better) (2.0 for applied & technical courses) 
  • Sophomores 3.75 (or better) (2.0 for applied & technical courses) 
  • Freshmen  
  • At this time AHS is the only high school allowing Freshmen to take dual credit courses 
  • Completion of 2 or more high school level courses in 8th grade with B+ or better 
  • Letter of recommendation from a teacher 
  • Principal or designee makes a final determination

English 2650 - World Literature I - STARS English/Composition - 1008 (Part II of 12th Grade English)

Politics 1120G - American National Government - STARS US Gov't Comprehensive 2730

Math 1220G - College Algebra 

Math 1250G - Trigonometry and Pre-Calculus
