The 2026 Summer School will run Monday through Friday, from June 1st to June 30th, at Alamogordo High School. There will be 2 sessions available, 8:00 am to 12:00 pm and 12:00 pm to 4:00 pm. Summer School is FREE, and lunch will be provided in between the AM and PM sessions. Breakfast will also be available daily at 8:15 am. Transportation is NOT provided.
Incoming Seniors and Juniors will receive priority acceptance for summer school classes, but incoming Sophomores are encouraged to apply as well.
AHS Counselors are looking for students who would greatly benefit from summer school and will be reaching out to those students directly; however, if you would like to ensure you have a slot, please fill out the following application.
Rules and Expectations:
We are limited to 4 classes for summer school. Because of limited space, students will be dropped:
If they do not show up for the first two days.
If they have disciplinary/attendance issues.
If they are wandering the halls.
If they are insubordinate.
If they use the time to sleep and not work.
If they are violating any rules set forth by the district, for example, vaping.
With limited teachers available for Summer school, please ensure every student who signs up to participate follows the rules and expectations above. Summer school is for students who are serious about making up credits and staying on track to graduate on time. Thank you!
